Railroad Kingdom

All fans of trains and railways, both big and small, will love the Railroad Kingdom exhibition in Prague's Smíchov, where you will find the biggest model railroad in the Czech Republic.

The romance and mystery of the rails have attracted people of all ages and all walks of life since its very beginning. If you and your children count yourselves among its fans, you should not miss the Railroad Kingdom in Prague. The local model railroad imitates the real railroad in every aspect –here, order rules and everything works perfectly according to schedule. To ensure that the model is as realistic as possible, day and night schedules rotate at regular intervals and all trains operate according to a valid schedule. You can see a total of 115 m2 of model railroad which is constantly expanded by other segments and where trains pass through the romantic Czech landscape. Thanks to miniature cameras placed inside the locomotives, visitors may experience the dream-like feeling of speeding along the rails through the Czech countryside for themselves. These trains will whisk you off to destinations such as the Karlštejn Castle, Ještěd, or Prague Castle, just to name a few. The goal is to gradually expand the existing model structure into a model of the entire Czech Republic, in miniature. A part of the Railroad Kingdom also includes a permanent exhibition on the history of railway in the territory of the Czech Republic and an educational program for schools. Railroad Kingdom is open every day from 9 a.m. till 7 p.m. with the last tickets sold one hour before the close of the day.
