Projects Listed by Svoboda & Williams Received Prizes at the 5th Annual Estate Awards

11.12.2025

The VII. Dům residential project took home an award at the Real Estate Oscars that took place yesterday at the National House in Prague’s Vinohrady district. It won first place in the Exclusive Living category. The jury was also impressed by the Bílá Růže Residence in Kašperské Hory, which took third place in the Renovation of the Year category.

“VII. Dům is one of those truly exceptional projects that are few and far between in the center of Prague,” says Tomáš Blahuta after learning of the success of the project created by the WP7 consortium of investors. Svoboda & Williams was charged with the sale of the entire residence. Its successful renovation unveiled 18 highly prestigious apartments with a unique atmosphere in the historic palace at Valdštejnské Square 18.

Architects from the respected studios Formafatal and SAD added solutions that brought elements of contemporary premium living into the surviving historic details. For instance, the massive portals made of Božanov sandstone and unique glass walls of custom-made ice glass from the renowned Baxa Design glass workshop. The precise craftsmanship of everything is striking, from the hand-made plaster to the sophisticated lighting solutions.

Investors were inspired by the story of the house discovered in historical archives and further developed it in a number of distinctive details such as the light fixtures on the common staircase arranged in the shape of the Libra zodiac sign, under which one of the owners of the house, Albrecht von Wallenstein, was born. “All of these elements give the interiors an extraordinary character. We’ve taken exceptional care with this project and have managed to attract the right buyers from among the most demanding clientele,” says Tomáš Blahuta, senior property consultant at Svoboda & Williams.

The renovated properties also include the boutique Bílá Růže Residence in Kašperské Hory. The project shares another common denominator with VII. Dům—it’s a boutique development from the portfolio of a smaller private investor. The sensitive conversion of a former coaching inn has created 20 variable units suitable for both recreational and permanent living.

“The quality of the project is unmatched,” states Linda Martynková, senior property consultant at Svoboda & Williams. “It even happened that foreign tourists who were staying in Kašperské Hory came for a viewing. They walked past Bílá Růže and were so captivated by the atmosphere of the place and the quality of the craftsmanship that they decided to buy an apartment on the spot,” she adds.
