There aren’t many plots of land in Prague like this promontory above the Vltava River valley in Dejvice’s Baba district. On it stands a magnificent villa designed by architect Radan Hubička with standards and facilities that make it one of the most luxurious properties currently on the market.
Inspired by the panoramic views offered by the unique plot, the architects crafted the spatial concept of the three-story villa to make the most of the stunning vistas. Facing the street, the house can appear austere, but it has a generously glazed façade towards the city just below.
The ground floor features four spacious bedrooms with walk-in closets and separate bathrooms, while the entire first floor is filled with an open living space and an interior atrium with a pool inspired by Mies van der Rohe’s pavilion. The house culminates in a spectacular roof terrace with an area of almost 200 m2, which literally floats above Prague.
No detail too small was spared in the construction of the villa. The hardness of the granite floors is balanced by rabbit skin rugs and Alcantara interior upholstery, usually used in luxury cars. Premium Carrara marble can be found not only on bathroom countertops and tiles, but also in the spacious garage, which can comfortably accommodate four cars. The basement also houses an air-conditioned wine cellar and a home gym equipped with Technogym machines.
The perfect craftsmanship of every aspect elevates the villa to the category of ultimate luxury. State-of-the-art technological equipment allows total and convenient control over the temperature, music, or curtains via a mobile app. “Properties this exclusive and amazingly finished down to the last detail, plus in a unique location, are extremely rare on the Czech market,” says Magdalena Svatková, senior property consultant at Svoboda & Williams. “We’re also receiving inquiries from abroad,” she adds.
