Wednesday, June 21, saw a business brunch happening at the ARA Palace, during which a new look of this unique Functionalist building was presented. Upon its complete renovation, the ARA Palace will offer premium office space for rent in the center of Prague. The brunch was co-organized by Svoboda & Williams, the leasing agent for office space in this palace.
The event featured a 1930's theme, evoking the time of the construction of the ARA Palace. This important Functionalist building was built between 1930 and 1931 on the corner of Perlová and 28. října streets for the ARA company, owned by A. and R. Amschelberg. The building is a top-quality example of architecture between the two World Wars, being predominantly Funcionalist but also exhibiting Art Deco and Expressionism elements. The architectural face of the building is the work of the architect Milan Babuška and the builder František Řehák.
The ARA Palace will feature cca 2 600 sq. m. of representative office space on five floors, the smallest leasable unit being an individual floor (approx. 450 to 580 sq. m., more info here). The future tenants of the offices on the top floor can look forward to a spacious terrace and eye-catching views of Prague, including Hradčany (Castle District) and Na Příkopě Street. No later than in August, the owner of the ARA Palace, the Austrian investor ECE European City Estates, will start its renovation, which will regard the facade and the entrance lobby and during which all windows and technologies, including the air-handling systems and lifts, will be changed. New tenants will be able to start moving into the completely renovated building in spring 2018.
