Jakub Polanka

Jakub Polanka, who can boast of cooperating with some of the foremost French fashion houses, is one of the best Czech fashion designers in the world of fashion today.

As the first Czech to do so, Jakub Polanka graduated from the Paris Institut Français de la Mode, one of the most prestigious schools of fashion design in the world. In Paris, he has cooperated with the prestigious Peclers Paris studio forecasting fashion trends, as well as with Philippe Starck's design studio, and with the luxury brands Hermés and Louis Vuitton. Even though he works most of the time in Paris, he also designed a men's collection for the Czech brand Pietro Filipi. However, his own collections are designated for women only. Young and successful, Jakub Polanka creates custom-made clothing for specific individual customers only, and you will not therefore find a boutique under his name in Prague. His dream is to enhance the self-confidence of Czech women, who he believes are afraid to attract attention to themselves, even though in his opinion they excel in beauty even above French women. Rather than simple fashion trends, Jakub Polanka is interested in style. For his work he has received the Czech Grand Design award, the Elle Style Award for the best fashion designer of the year, the Hubert de Givenchy Award, the Viennese Kontakt Award, and many other awards.
