Loreta

The Prague Loreto is a remarkable Baroque monument especially thanks to the decorative frontal façade, which captivates its visitors.

Passing through the frontal building at the top of the hour, you can hear the chimes of the Loreto carillon. Local organists also play the carillon keyboard each Sunday afternoon. Inside the courtyard stands the Santa Casa, a replica of the Virgin Mary’s home and an important pilgrimage site for Catholics. Beyond the Santa Casa you can see the Church of the Nativity, one of the most impressive Rococo interiors in Prague. You should definitely not miss the Loreto treasury where you can see the magnificent Prague Sun, a monstrance that is beautifully encrusted with more than 6,000 sparkling diamonds.
