Holešovice
Holešovice is a former industrial area that has blossomed into Prague's center for the modern and contemporary art galleries and design showrooms scene in the last few years. Situated in the north of Prague, Holešovice takes up the majority of Prague 7 and features such gems as the National Gallery's completely underrated Veletržní palác and the independent Dox Center for Contemporary Art – one of the most exciting art gallery projects to hit Prague in the last decade. If the art galleries aren't enough to convince you of a quick and easy jaunt over to Prague 7, the area also boasts an abundance of greenery, good restaurants, nice cafes, outdoor markets and hopping nightlife. Holešovice is also home to Prague's second largest train station, Nádraží Holešovice.
