So opens the cult film classic based on Truman Capote’s novel Breakfast at Tiffany’s, a sweet story about a wayward country mouse turned New York City socialite. Tiffany & Co’s origins go beyond the movie of course as Charles Lewis Tiffany and Teddy Young established the company in September of 1837. The company originally stocked stationary and fancy goods. Originally the store was called Tiffany, Young and Ellis but shortened the name to Tiffany & Co. when in 1853 control fell to Charles Lewis Tiffany. The rest is history with Tiffany & Co., regarded as one of the most luxurious jewelers in the world, having boutiques all throughout the globe that sell a gorgeous variety of fine goods, jewelry and more, all of which comes of course, in a signature Tiffany turquoise blue box. 2012 marked the exciting year that Tiffany & Co. made its luxurious mark in the gorgeous city of Prague on the fashionable Pařížská Street.
