Cermak Eisenkraft
The Cermak Eisenkraft gallery was founded in 2014 with the goal of becoming a leading dealer in post-war and contemporary Czech and international art.
The gallery, set on Dlouhá Street in Prague’s Old Town, plays host to a whole slew of intriguing art pieces from artists such as František Kupka, Emil Filla, Magdalena Jetelova, Federico Díaz, Kirstine Roepstorff, Matyáš Chochola, and Josef Šíma, among others. The company’s founders Tomáš Zapletal and David Železný have certainly created a brand that is internationally known and reputable in the world of art dealing. The name of the art gallery is connected to the founders personally. Cermak comes from Tomáš Zapletal’s forebear, the famous Chicago politician, Anton Cermak who died after being hit by an assassin’s bullet that was intended for Franklin D. Roosevelt. Cermak, the mayor of Chicago, was known for his honesty and for bringing unsavory characters to justice, including the infamous Al Capone. Eisenkraft is the original Jewish name of the Železný family. David’s grandfather, Tordes Eisenkraft, was a WWII hero who fought at Sokolov with the army of General Ludvík Svoboda and was a recipient of the Czechoslovak War Cross. It should come as no surprise then that these professionals always uphold ethical standards with all their art dealings. Clients will surely enjoy the confidentiality Cermak Eisenkraft provides, the supreme quality of their art pieces, fair prices, and the transparency afforded. If you are looking for artworks to grace your home and turn it into a far more elegant space, pay a visit to the Cermak Eisenkraft gallery today.
It is also of interest to note that Cermak Eisenkraft operates a pop up gallery as well, featuring temporary exhibitions of current art on the Smetanovo nábřeží embankment.
