Unique opportunity to acquire a picturesque historic estate with a rich history and a strong genius loci. This Baroque hunting lodge from the early 18th century, surrounded by 25 hectares of land in the heart of the Křivoklát forests, is ideal as a distinguished family residence for permanent living or recreation, offering absolute privacy yet within easy reach of the capital city.
The main building consists of a ground floor with a living room with a fireplace, a kitchen, a dining room, another room, a toilet, and an entrance hall with a wooden staircase leading to the upper floor. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, a spacious sunlit lounge (48 m²), a large central bathroom, and a second bathroom. The attic houses 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The adjoining guesthouse contains 2 apartments (1bdrm and 2bdrm). The currently unused second half of the building offers potential for further extension, as does the adjacent two-story caretaker’s house, which is suitable for renovation.

The elegant main building with a mansard roof was constructed at the beginning of the 18th century. After a period of neglect, the château was completely and sensitively renovated in 1992. It features casement windows, wooden floors in all living rooms, and an entrance door designed by the architect Bořek Šípek. The interior of the guesthouse was lavishly renovated in 2017 under the direction of a renowned architectural studio. The high-standard facilities include wooden floors and coffered ceilings, designer bathrooms and cast-iron radiators.
The 25-hectare grounds also feature a small wooden pavilion, the Chapel of St. Hubert, and an original wooden gazebo with a bathing pond. The extensive land consists of mixed forests and meadows, with one of the two access roads lined by a mature chestnut alley. From the windows and the park, there are breathtaking views of unspoiled nature with no surrounding development.
Throughout its history, the château has hosted many distinguished guests. This historically valuable estate is ideal for those seeking an exceptional residence with a unique atmosphere. It will appeal to lovers of cultural heritage, seclusion, and nature, and is also perfectly suited for horse breeding. Located about 30 km from the western edge of Prague, the estate is approximately a half-hour drive from the airport. Basic amenities are available in nearby Nižbor and Beroun.
Total usable area 852 m2 (of which château 401 m2, guesthouse 289 m2, caretaker’s house approx. 162 m2), plots total 251,841 m2.
