City Gallery Prague
City Gallery Prague, founded in 1963, is the second most important gallery in the Czech Republic, ranking just after the National Gallery in Prague. Throughout its exhibition space, visitors can admire art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. Currently, the gallery administers, either fully or in part, a total of 10 buildings which are all accessible to the general public. One notable building is the unique villa belonging to František Bílek, a significant Czech sculptor, architect, and graphic artist. Other notable spaces include the Baroque Troja Chateau, The Stone Bell House, The Golden Ring House, and the second floor of the Municipal Library in Prague, all of which belong under the City Gallery Prague. Besides permanent exhibitions, the individual buildings also hold temporary exhibitions and lectures, as described in detail below.
