The company’s intriguing name refers to Occitanie, an ancient area that was once a lovely combination of the south of France, northeastern Spain and northern Italy. Baussan, the above-mentioned founder of L’Occitane was and continues to be, not only inspired by the beauty of the whimsical landscape and the quality agriculture but also by the friendly, open-hearted nature of the locals that reside in the area.
